‘MLB 92 home run + KBO league 3 home run’ Bohr announces retirement through social media

Justin Boer (35), who played for the LG Twins, ends his active career.

Bohr said on social media on the 11th (Korean time), “For every player, there comes a point where you know that ‘the time has come to end your career.’ Thank you,” he said. This is his retirement announcement.

Bohr, who was a ‘big shot’안전놀이터, started his professional career by being named to the Chicago Cubs in 2009. He debuted in the major leagues (MLB) as a member of the Miami Marlins in 2014 and played 559 games in the big leagues until the 2019 season. He is a hitter who showed off his slugging power with 92 home runs and a slugging percentage of 0.470. His MLB career record is a batting average of 0.253 with 92 home runs and 303 RBIs in 559 games.

Boer advanced to the Japanese league in 2020 and hit 17 homers as a member of the Hanshin Tigers. He played in the MLB San Francisco Giants minor league in 2021, and wore an LG uniform as a substitute player. LG, where a “former” big leaguer with a high name value joined, was expected to improve its long hitting power. However, Boer had a batting average of 0.170 (17 hits in 100 at-bats) with only 3 home runs in 32 games.

Boer played in the Mexican League last year, but this year he couldn’t find a place to play.
