Baek Seung-ho to Lee Kang-in in Korean La Liga?…06-year-old prospect joins Girona first team in pre-season

Girona are looking for a new South Korean to step up in La Liga following the departure of Lee Kang-in (PSG).

Girona announced their pre-season training ahead of the 2023/24 season on their website on Tuesday, revealing the players who will be taking part.

“Coach Mitchell Sanchez has called up the available players from the first team squad to begin pre-season training,” the club said, adding that a further seven reserve team players will join the squad in preparation for the start of the season.온라인바카라

The name MINSU popped up among the seven reserves and was identified as a South Korean player named Kim Min-soo, who is on the B team. A video of the first day of training released on the club’s YouTube channel the same day showed him in action. Daley Blind, Oriol Romeu and Paulo Gasani were among the first-team players who started training.

Born in 2006 and now 17 years old, Kim is a striker who mainly plays on the left flank. After attending Gwangju Elementary School in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do, he moved to Spain, where he went through the Mercantil Academy and CF Dam Academy before signing for Girona B in January last year.In the 2022/23 season, between the Under-19 and B teams, Kim scored two goals in 18 games and 933 minutes in the Tercera Federacion (fifth division).

If Kim continues to develop, we could see another Korean player in La Liga in the future. Until last season, La Liga was also a hotspot for Lee Kang-in as he played for Mallorca. However, his departure to PSG has left La Liga without a Korean player.

Girona was previously home to Baek Seung-ho (Jeonbuk Hyundai), who left Barcelona in the summer of 2017. He made his La Liga debut for Girona in the 2018/19 season. After joining the first-team squad, Kim Min-soo will gain a lot of experience through this pre-season schedule. In particular, Girona will train at the team’s training centre from 17 to 22 July, followed by training at Manchester City’s training ground, which is part of the same City Football Group, from 24 to 30 July.

Girona will play their first pre-season game on the 19th against Oloa. They will then play two friendlies against Andorra at the team’s training centre and against Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers during their stay in Manchester.
