The ‘2023 Dreams Come True Camp’ hosted by Yongin Samsung Life Insurance held at STC (Samsung Training Center) on the 29th. Players from Hyosung Girls’ High School, Bundang Business High School, and Sookmyung Girls’ High School participated in a joint training with the Samsung Life Insurance team. Sookmyung Girls’ High School’s sophomore Ace Lee Min-ji also participated in training with her older sisters with a serious attitude.

Lee Min-ji said, “I came to STC for the first time, and it is really big. He’s with players from other sports, so it’s amazing. The rice is also really good. Training with his older sisters is motivating. I also want to become a professional player as soon as possible,” he said, leaving his impressions of participating in the camp.

This camp starts on the 29th and runs until the 31st. However, Lee Min-ji plans to leave the hospital after completing training until the morning of the 30th. This is because he was invited to the 2023 NBA Borderless Basketball Camp held in Abu Dhabi, UAE (United Arab Emirates) from June 2nd to 5th.

Along with Lee Min-ji, Song Yun-ha (Sookmyung Girls’ High School, 180 cm), Kim Chae-eun (Soongui Girls’ High School, 185 cm), Choi Ye-seul (Chuncheon Girls’ High School, 179 cm), and Jeong Hyeon (Soong-eui Girls’ High School, 179 cm) are together. In the men’s division, Jang Hyuk-jun (Yongsan High School, 193cm), Kim Jeong-hyeon (Myongji High School, 195cm), and Gu Seung-chae (Yangjeong High School, 192cm) were invited.

“It’s the first time I’ve been invited to a camp like this, so I’m looking forward to it a lot. I want to learn by bumping into players from other countries. I heard that great coaches are coming, and I hope I can learn a lot of new skills.” Lee Min-ji’s words.

Minji Lee, a sophomore, drew attention as the ace of Sookmyung Girls’ High School. At the federation president’s meeting held in Gimcheon in May, he led the team to runner-up and won the Excellence Award. As a tall guard with a height of 176 cm, he is regarded as one of the future players of Korean basketball.

Lee Min-ji said, “I am a guard, but I think being tall is my strong point. I want to do well in all areas such as shooting, passing, and defense. I will go to the NBA Borderless Basketball Camp and learn well and come back.”
